Mission
The Waupaca Community Arts Center is organized to
promote the arts in the Waupaca community and provide space for artists
and community members to display, experience, and learn about the
visual, theatrical, musical, and literary arts.
WCAC Gallery and Gift Shop
"On the Sunny Side of the
Street" - Willie Nelson
Vision
We believe that a vibrant arts scene reflects a
vibrant community. Our vision is to serve as a catalyst and resource
for residents and visitors to the Waupaca area to engage in creative
activities and programs, to develop artistic camaraderie and general
pride in their own accomplishments and in our community.
WCAC provides space for:
- local artists to exhibit and sell their art
- local art, music and literary events
- arts related mini-shops
- meetings for groups that promote the arts and/or a vibrant community.
The Gallery artists sell reasonably priced art and
craft items: jewelry, pottery, paintings, prints, photography,
sculpture, baskets, greeting cards, and more. Gift Certificates are available.
The Upcycled Art section features art and gift items made from 50% recycled materials.
WCAC also rents space for art-related mini-shops.
WCAC hosts a variety of arts and crafts classes and workshops presented by local artists who are eager to share their expertise in glass work, woodcarving, painting, floor loom weaving, basket weaving, knitting, and more.
"Creative Getaway Weekends" for your own private group/class can be arranged.
You can contact the Arts Center or mini-shops by calling 715-258-3741.
